The
New England Joint Board Women's Network was
formed in 1996. Its primary purpose is to unify
New England Joint Board Woman through a district
network.
The network believes that active participation
of woman members in RWDSU will enhance our
union's strength at the bargaining table, in
organizing campaigns and in the political arena.
Our network has worked to assess woman's common
problems and concerns and tried to develop
action programs to address those concerns within
the framework of our Local Union. In doing
so we have learned that woman's problems are
really issues that affect our families so
they're really everyone's concerns.
Since returning from their first Women's Network
Convention in 1996, the New England Joint Board
Women's Network has been a work in progress.
